ADSO's Formation To Provide Sector Leadership

As the transformation of dental practice ownership continues apace, the formation of a local chapter within the Association of Dental Support Organisations (ADSO) will provide the sector with direction and a single focus point.
Key Issues For The Dental Industry —
The Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO) is a not-for-profit global trade association whose forty-eight member companies support more than thirteen thousand dentists worldwide. ADSO supports its members through research, education and advocacy, enabling them to foster innovation, collaboration and a vibrant market where dentists within Dental Support Organisations (DSO) dentists can provide quality oral health care.
As with any industry association, ADSO provides an opportunity for competitiors to come together to promote their industry and provide information information to the profession about DSOs and the benefits they offer to dental practitioners and their patients.
The ADSO Australian – New Zealand Chapter currently includes five DSOs, these being:

In founding the ADSO Australian – News Zealand Chapter the businesses have recognised that provision of dental care in Australia is arguably going through the most profound and rapid change in its history, driven by a combination of new technology and patient/consumer behavior. The businesses have stated their objective is to educate dentists about what a DSO is and how it may be the right option for them if they prefer clinical care to business and administration tasks.
Naturally, the businesses share a commitment to providing high quality management and support services to dentists in fully serviced facilities. They stress that the administrative support services DSOs provide allows dentists to focus on their patients, expand access to quality dental care and improve the oral health of their communities.”
ADSO was originally formed in the United States by a like-minded group of American practice owners to advance their stand on quality standards, ethical business practices, regulatory compliance and reform and to provide consistent industry messaging. Years later, the organisation continues to give a voice and support to the global DSO community.
As the peak business organisation representing dental product manufacturers and suppliers the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), within the framework of the ADIA External Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, establishes a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders across the entire dental community. ADIA will hosted the ADSO leadership at a business leaders dinner in Canberra on 29 November 2017.
